Large Truck Diesel Mechanic (Kirkwood, MO)

   We are looking for a large truck diesel mechanic with 1-2 years experience in, and an understanding of, hydraulics and electrical maintenance and repair. You must be able to lift up to 150 lbs consistently through out the day. Right candidate needs to have experience with maintenance of front end loaders, bob cats/skid steers, and fork-lifts. Candidate should also be proficient at paperwork related to maintenance records. Must be able to change and maintain large truck tires. Mechanic must supply his own tools. Chauffeurs license required.

Horticulturist  Needed

Kirkwood Gardens is one of Kirkwood Material Supply’s retail/wholesale garden centers.

We handle trees, shrubs, perennials, bulk material, natural stone, retaining wall systems and other landscape supplies.

We need a Horticultural Associate position filled as soon as possible:

  • Full Time with Benefits
  • Starting pay:  $12 / hour (depending on experience and education)

Horticultural Associate Duties:

  • Customer Service & Sales
    • Helping customers choose the right plant for their space
    • Educating customers about plant characteristics and care
    • Loading customers’ vehicles with plants and materials
  • Plant Care including but not limited to:
    • Watering
    • Pruning
    • Displaying Plant Product
    • Pest Management
  • Unloading  and loading plant and material deliveries

Requirements:

  • degree in horticulture (or currently enrolled in a hort. program)
  • available to work weekends
  • can lift over 40 lbs
  • plant identification skills
  • enthusiasm for plants and nature
  • a good attitude towards the general public
